I Am Spartacus!
The "Spartacus" series is done. No more.
The final episode "Victory" is a well fitting end to one awesome series. The episode is so good it can almost stand on its own.
The creators decided not to bend history all that much. I thought with the episode being titled "Victory" that they will have Spartacus triumph over Crassus. It was not the case.
The end credits roll was also a roll call of the actors and actresses that have played a character on the show. I had a lump in my throat when Andy Whitfield sprang on screen shouting "I Am Spartacus!".

Tattoo numero tres!
Third tatt. Daredevil emblem, around it is the ambigram of Daredevil and my last name, Ronquillo.
Tattooed over a keloidal scar. It was painful as fuck, but I would say way worth the pain.

The Search is Over!
'Tis finally complete!
My Daredevil vol 3 #1 is finally complete. I have all the covers! Thanks to Sandy of Comic Odyssey, I have all six of them.
The Neal Adams variant was quite a challenge to get a hold of, but Sandy found one for me. It was a damage of 3,500Php, but worth every cent.
Now all I need to worry about is completing the whole volume 3 run so far. Challenge accepted!

Fatso, I'm gonna break-up with you!
I want to get healthy.
I want to be fit.
Before 2013, I said I was going to post a picture of myself every month and track the progress of this "yearly" resolution that don't seem to happen.
I have been pondering whether or not post a picture of how my body looks right now. It's already the fifth, but alas! Here is it.
Here's hoping that the pic I will put up on February will be different from this one.
Wish me luck! (As I make it.)

The Day After Never
I haven't ran out of TV shows to watch, so God only knows why I watched two pilots today. Both medical procedural, but different formats. One is a half-hour comedy, the other a one-hour drama. Both are good, but I like one better than the other. Unfortunately for me, it's the one that has been canceled already so I only have about thirteen episodes to enjoy.
The Mindy Project is a half-hour comedy that follows the romcom obsess OB/GYN Mindy Lahiri. The pilot was good enough to warrant more viewings from me. But there is a definite room for improvement with this show that needs to be occupied sooner rather than later.

The other pilot I watched was Emily Owens M.D. which surprised me a lot. I never really cared for Grey's Anatomy, so why I like this show is beyond me. I only wanted to watch it because I kinda missed the gorgeous Justin Hartley. Never thought I would actually like it. While it lacked the sort of edge Grey's Anatomy has, this show's lightheartedness was actually a big draw for me. I totally forgot that I wanted to watch it 'cause of just one actor. Simple things amuse simple minds I guess, cause hearing the line "The day after never" from a twelve-year old character after being asked when will she tell Cody, the boy she likes, that she likes him was "Eureka! I love this show." moment for me. But like I said, I only have a handful of episodes to enjoy. I guess this is not my year for TV after Partners and Last Resort being canceled as well. Regardless, I will still enjoy what I can get.
