The Day After Never

I haven't ran out of TV shows to watch, so God only knows why I watched two pilots today. Both medical procedural, but different formats. One is a half-hour comedy, the other a one-hour drama. Both are good, but I like one better than the other. Unfortunately for me, it's the one that has been canceled already so I only have about thirteen episodes to enjoy.

The Mindy Project is a half-hour comedy that follows the romcom obsess OB/GYN Mindy Lahiri. The pilot was good enough to warrant more viewings from me. But there is a definite room for improvement with this show that needs to be occupied sooner rather than later.

The other pilot I watched was Emily Owens M.D. which surprised me a lot. I never really cared for Grey's Anatomy, so why I like this show is beyond me. I only wanted to watch it because I kinda missed the gorgeous Justin Hartley. Never thought I would actually like it. While it lacked the sort of edge Grey's Anatomy has, this show's lightheartedness was actually a big draw for me. I totally forgot that I wanted to watch it 'cause of just one actor. Simple things amuse simple minds I guess, cause hearing the line "The day after never" from a twelve-year old character after being asked when will she tell Cody, the boy she likes, that she likes him was "Eureka! I love this show." moment for me. But like I said, I only have a handful of episodes to enjoy. I guess this is not my year for TV after Partners and Last Resort being canceled as well. Regardless, I will still enjoy what I can get.

My novel that is taking forever to finish.

PANGALAWA

ni Ryu Ronquillo

1

Yung nasa New Jersey?'

Survivor: Phillippines

Photo via: http://survivor.wikia.com

Survivor: Philippines has wrapped up season 25, and the winner is Denise Stapley. Not my favorite to win, I liked Lisa, but I guess everything is different in the eyes of the jury. Or it could be that she was not directly involved in voting out the ones sitting in the jury that's why they favored her.

The next season of Survivor, season 26 is a double repeat of sort. It will be played again here in the Philippines, and it will be another Fans vs. Favorites edition. Looking forward to this one.

Collectin' Chucks

I have always loved Chuck Taylor shoes. I buy one and basically use it till it's all worn out. I buy black lo-top in original style.

Converse has been coming out with crazy cool Chucks that I decided to make it a new collection of mine. Bought three pairs just over the weekend. I love them shoes, they are awesome!

What smoke? That's vapor!

I have been known to follow a fad once in a while. So yeah, back in the day, I did own a tamagochi. It died a few times, but good thing virtual pets need not a lot of high maintenance and you can just reset them.

Not everyone will agree, but in my opinion the Pinoys' latest fad is the e-cigaretter or e-cig. They are everywhere, much like Zagu when it started.

Yesterday, I bought myself one to see what's what. I have to say it ain't so bad. I have been hearing that it's not as satisfying as the real thing. Since I ain't really that heavy a smoker, the e-cig worked for me. I see myself sticking to it.

Well here is a step to good health! Less nicotine, more fun!

Man of Steel - Official Trailer #2 [HD]

When I saw the first trailer of "Man Of Steel", I was a bit worried that farm boy Clark Kent is well uh...um...a fisherman. But this new trailer is so epic that it restored my faith in the upcoming movie. I'm excited! I really hope this movie delivers. I don't want the next Superman movie to be another reboot.

3 continents, 9 countries, 20 cities, and more than 25,000 miles...

The Amazing Race Season 21 has concluded. I was rooting for the Chippendales mainly because they want to win it, but not for themselves. Jaymes wanted to win for his ill father and James for his mom. Unfortunately, the only finished second to the Beekman Boys. The winning team of Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge never won a leg until the most important one, the last leg.

Like a drum my heart never stops beating...for youuuuu

"You're my back bone, you're my cornerstone
You're my crutch when my legs stop moving
You're my headstart, you're my rugged heart
You're the pokes that i've always needed
Like a drum baby don't stop beating
Like a drum baby don't stop beating
Like a drum baby don't stop beating
Like a drum my heart never stops beating"

Being the frustrated writer that I am, it's always a must that a song have a witty, if not meaningful lyrics, before I get to like it. Current Idol champion Phillip Phillip's new album The World From The Side Of The Moon is filled with songs that I don't just like, but have already loved. I love this album!

Almost every day since I bought Sascha*, I post hi-ho** music on my Facebook page, Google+ account, and on Twitter. I haven't done that for about three weeks now because I have been listening to Phillip Phillips' album. It would be pointless to post the same album for three weeks (and counting!).

Seeing how well this album is doing on the Billboard Charts, it's safe to say I am not the only one who appreciates the music of Phillip Phillips. And you people ought to check him out too. It's not a requirement that you be an American Idol fan, not at all.

* That's my Samsung Galaxy S III folks!

Hello Sammy!!!

I have always been a Nokia nut as far back as I can remember. My first phone was a Nokia 8110i, the phone featured in "The Matrix". But alas, after more than a decade love affair I am leaving my Nokia days behind as my beloved Symbian is no more. Android being the closest OS to Symbian. I decided to pick up Samsung as my new brand. And so far I have been very satisfied with my mobile phones. Phones, yes!

Pictured here is Yuri (Yes, I name my gadgets!). He is a Samsung Galaxy Y Duos for my Sun and Smart SIM.

And my other phone is Sascha, he has Globe in him. A Samsung Galaxy S III that I love very dearly because it's just way too awesome not to!

Next one that I might get is a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. (Might!)
